On-Air - 88.5 FM
You can tune into WAMU on 88.5 FM in the Washington and Baltimore metro areas. We also broadcast on a digital HD Radio channel, 88.5-HD1.

On Your Smart Speaker

Listen live to WAMU on any smart speaker. Just ask your Alexa-enabled device, Google Assistant, or Apple Siri to play WAMU.
You can also add WAMU’s regional newscast to your Alexa flash briefing — enable it within the Alexa app.
There are also many other ways to hear NPR content on-demand using your smart speaker.
On Your Smartphone
There are several apps available to listen to WAMU live. Two apps we recommend are NPR News and TuneIn.
You can also listen to NPR and WAMU content on-demand and personalized for your tastes with NPR One.

Online at WAMU.org
Go to wamu.org and click the blue "play" button at the bottom of any page to start streaming WAMU’s live broadcast. The stream will continue playing as you browse through the website.
